Honey Dressings containing medical grade honey ( Manuka or active Leptospermum )have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and can also reduce wound odour. They are suitable for use on chronic and acute wounds.They should not be used on patients sensitive to honey or bee stings. Blood sugar levels in diabetics should be monitored during treatment.
