Drymax Extra

DryMax Extra is a superabsorbent dressing that is designed for heavily exuding wounds. The dressing integrates the Extra core technology of superabsorbent polymers contained within a polypropylene sachet that promotes rapid absorption and minimises the potential for wound bed adherence. The Extra core is designed for vertical absorption, which easily absorbs moisture, forms a gel and prevents horizontal wicking. Inside the dressing, fluid is kept away from the wound area and peri-wound area. This avoids maceration and maintains a humid surface to promote tissue repair. This dressing is used for heavily exuding wounds such as diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, and leg ulcers. It can be used under compression. It is available in a range of sizes such as 10cm x 10cm, 10cm x 20cm, 20cm x 20cm and 20cm x 30cm.
