Allevyn Adhesive Dressing is a special, multi-layered dressing with an adhesive border to ensure the successful management of wounds and exudates. It consists of a highly absorbant hydrocellular foam pad held between a breathable polyurethane top film and a non-adherent wound contact layer which adheres well to the skin but doesn’t stick to the wound , making it easy to apply and remove . Allevyn conforms well to body contours and can be used to dress awkward areas like knees, heels and elbows .
Allevyn’s unique design manages exudate, ensuring optimum moisture levels to promote moist wound healing. This is managed by absorbing and retaining fluid in the hydrocellular foam core and transpiring enough fluid from the outer polyurethane vapour permeable film resulting in a moist wound healing enviroment. Allevyn dressings can be left in place for up to 7 days except for the sacral area where they can be left in place for up to 5 days.
Allevyn Adhesive Dressings are suitable for use on:
• Chronic and acute exuding wounds
• Pressure ulcers
• Leg ulcers
• Diabetic foot ulcers
• Surgical wounds
• Malignant wounds
• First and second degree burns
Allevyn Adhesive Dressings are available in a wide range of sizes and can be cut to fit awkward areas. Also available as an anatomical shaped Sacral dressing.
At Wound-Care.co.uk , we have available the Allevyn Adhesive dressings in all sizes available for immediate delivery to worldwide destinations.
