ActivHeal Aquafiber Ag Antimicrobial wound dressing is a sterile, non-woven pad consisting of mannuronic acid, calcium alginate and carboxymethylcellulose.Silver ions are released in the presence of wound fluid and are an effective antimicrobial agent for up to 7 days. As fluid is absorbed, the alginate forms a soft gel which assists in maintaining a moist environment for optimum wound healing and allows intact removal. ActivHeal Aquafiber Ag Antimicrobial wound dressing is indicated for moderately to heavily exuding wounds.
